Osmo UV-Protection Oil 410 Clear is a natural oil-based finish for exterior wood that stays vertical — doors, windows, cladding, fences, and garden furniture. It's microporous, so the wood can still breathe and move with humidity instead of trapping moisture behind a film, and it won't crack, peel, flake, or blister the way a film-forming exterior varnish eventually will.
Applied in two coats, it gives a UV protection factor of 12 compared to untreated wood, slowing the graying that raw or lightly finished wood gets from sun exposure while still showing the grain and tone underneath. One liter covers about 172 sq ft per coat, and it's dry enough to recoat in about 12 hours, with no sanding needed between coats. The 410 Clear formula carries no biocides, so it's safe for people, plants, and animals once dry; for surfaces that need extra protection against algae and mildew, Osmo's 420 Clear Extra is the version to reach for instead.
