Questions & answers
Can I brush Enduro Clear Poly?
No. It is made to be sprayed. For HVLP, a 1.1 mm to 1.3 mm tip is recommended; for airless, a fine-finish .007" to .011" tip. If you want to brush, General Finishes High Performance is the brush-or-spray version.
How is it different from High Performance?
Both are urethane/acrylic blends. Enduro Clear Poly is built for professionals who spray, and it tests slightly higher than High Performance for wear, water and chemical resistance. It comes in gallons, 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums.
Will it yellow?
No. It does not amber; it is water-clear in the can and dries clear.
What is special about the Dead Flat sheen?
Dead Flat gets its low sheen from a newer polymer instead of the waxes and flatting agents that usually make matte finishes weaker and slightly hazy, so it stays clear over dark colors. Do not mix Dead Flat with any other sheen.
Can it be tinted?
Yes, it is tint-ready. Dead Flat can be tinted too, though the color may come out softer. Test on a scrap or hidden spot first.
How long between coats, and when can I use it?
Dry to the touch in 30+ minutes, ready to recoat after 1+ hour, light use after 7-10 days, and fully cured at 21 days. It is for interior use only.
